ABOUT US

As a Financial Planner in Chicago, Jodi Maslanka wrote in her business plan, “At the end of the day, I want to feel like I helped someone.”  When her friend Theresa asked what happens to her son Robert if something happens to her, Jodi had no idea.  Together they set up a Special Needs Trust and funded it with life insurance.  At the end of the day, Theresa was so grateful and Jodi felt like she had helped someone. She became a Special Care Planner.  Jodi now lives in Indianapolis.  She no longer works as a Special Care Planner but continues to find ways to help families with disabilities.  Buttermilk Mountain is her contribution to the special needs community.

Wondering about the name?  Maslanka means buttermilk in Polish.
